Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of March 20 – March 24. Two percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday – Baked ziti, zucchini, whole wheat roll, spinach salad, fruit cup, soup;

Tuesday — Chicken teriyaki, fried rice, layered salad, orange, soup;

Wednesday – Nachos w/chili and cheese, fresh tomato salsa, Spanish rice, yogurt pie, pinto bean soup;

Thursday — Chicken w/broccoli and rice, beet salad, muffin, fruit, soup;

Friday – Low-sodium kielbasa, parsley potatoes, sauerkraut, carrots, applesauce, soup.

Monday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; HOPE Cancer Care Center Seminar, 10 a.m., beading class, 12:30 p.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.;

Tuesday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; Bunco, 12:30 p.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.; haircuts, 1 p.m.;

Wednesday — Blind Support, 12:30 p.m., Crafty Ladies, 12:30 p.m.;

Thursday — Old Men’s Club, 8 a.m.; exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; Rippets (knitting and crocheting) 11 a.m.; haircuts, 1 p.m.;

Friday — T.O.P.S. meeting, 7 a.m.; exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of March 27 – March 31:

Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — Cheeseburger skillet, tossed salad, balsamic vinaigrette, whole wheat dinner roll, fruit cocktail;

Tuesday — Fish tacos, refried beans, Mexicorn saute, mandarin oranges;

Wednesday — Tandouri chicken, red potatoes with herbs, carrots, tossed salad, red wine vinaigrette dressing, apple crisp;

Thursday — BBQ pulled pork w/whole wheat roll, oven fried potatoes, coleslaw, tapioca pudding, peaches;

Friday — Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, low sodium sausage links, mixed berries, oatmeal, fresh fruit, orange juice.

Beatty Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of March 27 – March 31:

Two percent milk available. Meals are served at the Beatty Senior Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday and Thursday.

Tuesday — Fish tacos, refried beans, Mexicorn saute, mandarin oranges;

Thursday — BBQ pulled pork w/whole wheat roll, oven fried potatoes, coleslaw, tapioca pudding, peaches.

Motorcycle rider flown to UMC Trauma

Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis told the Pahrump Valley Times that crews were dispatched to a report of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Sandpebble Street and Kellogg Road on the south end of the valley at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8.
