A commercial vehicle attempting to enter the drive-thru payment area of Valley Electric Association struck the top of the clearance guard causing significant damage to both. The maximum clearance of the drive-thru area was labeled as nine feet. The vehicle, however, was slightly taller. The collision occurred just after 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19. No injuries were reported.
Nye County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene.
Blakely’s attorney also requested bail, but it was denied by the judge.
