Windy Friday will lead to cooler than average temperatures for much of next week
Seasonably cool weather will continue for much of the next week in the valley.
The National Weather Service said that a dry, low-pressure system will sweep through Pahrump, bringing gusty conditions today through tonight.
“Friday is going to be windy with a high of 51 degrees,” said John Adair, National Weather Service meteorologist. “Winds will be out of the east at 20 to 30 mph. No wind advisories, those will mainly be for eastern Clark County.”
Saturday and Sunday will be the warmest of the next week, with highs reaching 58 degrees and 60 degrees respectively and lows of 33 degrees and 36 degrees.
The work week begins with a high of 55 degrees with mostly sunny skies before another temperature drop takes place for the remainder of the week.
The high temperature will not surpass 50 degrees through Thursday as highs of 47 degrees, 48 degrees and 47 degrees are expected for Tuesday through Thursday.
Lows will be at or below freezing for two days of the three-day stretch, with 29 degrees Tuesday and 32 degrees Wednesday, before jumping up to 37 degrees for Thursday.
“We’ve been running a bit below average already and we’ll be about five to eight degrees below average this week,” Adair said.
