DAV grateful for successful veterans’ barbeque

On April 16th, Pahrump Chapter 15 of the Disabled American Veterans held its Annual Veterans’ Appreciation BBQ and wants to extend its gratitude to those entities that made it a success. As always we benefit greatly from the volunteers of Pahrump Unit 15 of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (DAVA), but we also need to say thanks to Ryan Blankenship, Kellie Mercer, Dylan Metscher and Darien Rivera of Pahrump Valley High School’s Junior ROTC, plus Noemi Valle Diaz, Fenny Descuatan, Jayvana Descuatann, Jennifer Huerta, Breanna James, Samantha Rich and Ana Valero from the Pahrump Valley High School Key Club.

In addition, we must mention all of the Pahrump business community and individual residents whose donations to our raffle made it so successful. They are: Acme General Store, Affordable Dental, Albertson’s, All Automotive, Art Jones, Awards Plus, Big O Tires, Cathy Girard, Chat Thai Bistro, Clear Vision Eye Centers, Discount Liquor, Doug and Anita Fitt, Draft Picks, GI-USA Store, H &M Pipe &Supply, Johnny’s Restaurant, Linda’s Scrubs, Mountain Falls Golf Club, Nicco’s Pizza, Oscar’s Nails, Pahrump Do It Best Hardware, Pahrump Nugget, Pahrump Valley Auto Plaza, Papa Willie’s Italian Eatery, Patty Ann Scheuermann, Pete’s Auto Clinic, Purcell Tire, Red Sky BBQ, RFM Supply Co., Romero’s Restaurant, Rubalcaba’s Mexican Restaurant, Spring Mountain Chiropractic, State Farm Insurance - Joe Sladek, State Farm Insurance - Brian Strain, Stock Pile Defense, Sunflower Fashions, The Quilted Dragon, TireWorks, Valley Electric, Walgreen’s, Walmart, and Wine Ridge Peak RV Resort.

Finally, a special thanks to Anne Blankenship, George Harris and Amber Freitas of the Pahrump Senior Center for providing transportation to and from our BBQ to those veterans in need.

Once again the people and businesses of Pahrump have proven their support not only to the DAV, but to all of the area’s veteran population.

Thank you!
