Remote Area Medical has offered access to free health care services in Pahrump each year since 2016. More than $146,786 worth of care was provided over this year’s two-day event.
The Nevada Silver Tappers Annual USO Benefit Show took place this past weekend and the ladies put their best feet forward for two performances that delighted audience members. But it wasn’t just about hosting a fantastic production. The event, as its name implies, acts as a fundraiser for local veterans’ organizations as well.
It took 9 months to repave 1.2 miles at a cost of $950,000.
With the help of an award from the T-Mobile Hometown Grant program, Pahrump is getting a splash pad. Local officials celebrated this milestone during an announcement on Friday at Simkins Park. Here’s how plans for the new pad came together.

Grant is making town’s dream a reality. A party is planned for the big announcement on Oct. 6.
