Sheila and Vern Geesa, partners

Top Notch Distribution

1060 Third St.,
303-526-6032 or
520-609-7867

Age: 65 and 68

First job: “Vern was in the Navy as his first job and I worked for an airline.”

Years in Business: “Combined, we have 60 years’ experiences operating a business.”

Background: “I spent my whole life working in retail, helping out my grandmother, so I am familiar with retail. The idea behind our new store was to bring in a store that offered new items at a low cost. One of the items we offer is new shoes. We felt the town needed another place to buy shoes besides Walmart. We will also offer furniture and other new items that we will buy in lots. The items we offer will change.”

Personal: “To relax we like to travel.”

Business Climate: “Pahrump doesn’t have enough wholesale places. We want to be like Big Lots and offer new items at wholesale prices. This is something that has been a year in the making with the owners of Top Notch, Valerie and Marcel, who provide the space and are also partners in the business.”
