LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Thanks to all for a successful health fair

Thanks to all for a successful health fair

Desert View Hospital and the NyE Communities Coalition would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of those who helped make this year’s Back to School Health Fair a success. The combined efforts of a multitude of organizations were involved in helping children in our town and surrounding areas prepare for the 2014/2015 school year, and the generosity of each of those organizations is very much appreciated.

We’d like to thank all of the vendors who participated, and extend a special thank you to Healthcare Partners of Nevada, Dr. Leak’s office, UNLV, Future Smiles, Helping Kids Clinic, and Affiliated Physical Therapy for providing no-cost screenings and immunizations. We’d also like to thank the Pahrump Valley Lions Club, Glen Lerner, Mercy Air, Dance Xpressions, Meadows Bank, Serenity Behavioral Health, Superintendent Dale Norton, and the staff of Desert View Hospital for their generous donations to the school supply drive for this year’s health fair. Thank you to Assemblyman James Oscarson and Cameron McRae as well for helping families from Amargosa travel to the event. Your kindness has made a difference in the lives of many children.
