Mini Dwarfs take on Las Vegas at Bullring

The Pahrump Mini Dwarfs raced on May 16 with the Las Vegas Quarter Midgets Club in the High Roller Series Points Race in Las Vegas.

Pahrump took first place in both divisions. Jake Pike took first in the senior division and Wyatt Wells took first in the junior division.

The Mini Dwarf Class is in its first year running at the Pahrump Valley Speedway and is a growing class for kids.

Tanya Pike has a son and daughter who race in the class and said the class is really taking off in town.

“This is an awesome class for kids that is growing and we would like the town to know about it,” she said.

The class is divided into a junior class and a senior class and races every race day at the speedway.

The age group for this class starts at 5 years old and will go up to 8 in the Junior Class. The second class is the Senior Class and that will go from 9-13. This has a new track, which was built in the infield of the 1/4-mile track. For specific car setup for this class see www.pahrumpvalleyspeedway.com.

Pike said the next race in Las Vegas is May 30th.
