Pahrump Valley basketball routed by Clark

The Trojans boys basketball team played host to Clark, who routed the Trojans 78-32.

Last year's state champions (5-0 overall, 2-0 Sunset League) wasted no time in the first half scoring 47 points to Pahrump Valley's 19 in the first half. The Chargers proved to be just too much for Pahrump.

Although the Trojans don't win that many games, the athletes do deserve some credit. They never give up and always give it their best.

"We work hard and never quit," Trojans coach John Toomer said.

Danny Foss led the team in shooting with 11 and David Sidhu had 9.

The Trojans return to the court Jan. 6 at Cheyenne (4-1, 1-0) at 6:30.

The season is still young as the boys try to get that first league game and their best chance comes to town after the Christmas break against Western on Jan 8 at 6:30 p.m. The last time the Pahrump boys beat Western was in the 2013-2014 season and that was their only league win. That year the Trojans split Western, losing the last game to them by only four points, 45-41. Last year they lost both games.
