Golf: Middle school has good showing at first match

The Rosemary Clarke Middle School golf team played its first match of the season against Bob Miller Middle School from Henderson at Mountain Falls Golf Course on Thursday.

For the girls, Breanne Nygaard got first place in the girls division. Koby Lindberg got second place in the eighth grade boys division and John Taylor got second in the sixth/seventh grade division.

Rosemary Clarke golf coach Rachel Micheel is in her first year as coach and said her team has made some great strides since starting the season.

“I am so proud of all of the improvements we have already seen in this short season,” Micheel said. “I look forward to the years to come.”

The coach said the boys team has talent. “I think I have two golfers that would do well at the high school level next year, Koby Lindberg and John Taylor,” Micheel said.

The following golfers participated from Rosemary Clarke: Lindberg, Nygaard, Taylor, Cyle Havel, Brady Gladd, Caleb Sproul, Haden Wray, Antonio Martinez, Ian Kingsley and Hannah Bennett.
