Beatty Hornets lose stingers against Panthers

The Beatty Hornets women’s basketball team made it to the second round of the playoffs.

They did this by demolishing the Indian Springs Thunderbirds 47-39 at home.

They then went on to play the number one seeded Pahranagat Valley Panthers on Saturday and were defeated 54-29.

Panthers Coach Amy Huntsman has one of the stongest presses in all of Division IV and this was reflected in the score.

Hornets Coach Aimee Senior said all year that her team was a scrappy bunch of freshmen and sophomores led by senior player Christina Thompson.

This season will give the Hornets a solid base for next season. The hornets finished the season in fourth place.
