• Chili Cook-off
Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the 7th Annual Silver State Chili Cook-off, Petrack Park, free entrance, chili tasting, vendors, classic cars, live music, benefits No to Abuse.
• Roots, Boots and BBQ
Saturday, the 2nd annual Roots, Boots and Barbecue Family History Seminar, LDS Blue Diamond Stake, 5461 Manse Road, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., free, and lunch will be provided, adult genealogy classes and children’s activities. Dress in western wear, prizes for best-dressed male and female adult and boy and girl child. Fun for the whole family.
