Pahrump Valley High School Senior Jenna Broderick, 17, participates in cross country basketball and track. Among her numerous hobbies are, reading, drawing, rock climbing and playing the piano. Broderick plans to earn a degree in graphic arts, to pursue a career as an art teacher and swimming instructor.

Pahrump Valley High School Senior Angel Gibson, 17, participates in volleyball, basketball, softball and serves as the school’s Vice President of the Jobs for American Gradutes (JAG) program. Gibson’s hobbies include reading, art, writing, singing and dancing. Gibson plans to pursue a surgical technician career.

Pahrump Valley High School Sophmore Jenna Hill, 15 is active in soccer. Hill’s hobbies include computers, reading and art. Hill plans to become a computer technician after high school.

Pahrump Valley High School Junior Shelby Ledford, 16, performs with the school’s dance team and is also a dance studio instructor. Among Ledford’s hobbies are, dance/fitness, reading and writing. Ledford plans to pursue duel careers as a flight attendant and dance instructor/choreographer.

Pahrump Valley high School Junior Kyrstyn Peugh, 16, Participates in the school’s dance and rodeo teams. Peugh’s hobbies include dancing, reading and jamming to music. Peugh will pursue a career as a pediatric surgeon.

Pahrump Valley High School Sophmore Jenna Sova, 15, activies include golf, cheerleading along with speech and debate to name a few. Sova’s hobbies include hiking, fishing and tie-dyingT-shirts. She plans to pursue a career as an international sales executive.

Pahrump Valley High School’s Savanna Greenup was crowned the 2016 Miss Pahrump Pageant winner. On Saturday, the pageant returns to the Saddle West Showroom at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. General admission is $10, VIP tickets are $15.

Organizer Cindi Colucci said the pageant is now in its 41st year.
This year’s six contestants are all Pahrump Valley High School students:

■ Angel Gibson, 17
■ Jenna Hill, 15
■ Shelby Ledford, 16
■ Kyrstyn Peugh, 16
■ Jenna Sova, 15
Doors open at 6 p.m. Saturday. General admission is $10, VIP tickets are $15.
Young women entering high school through their senior year, ages 13-18 years old, are invited to participate in the pageant next year.
Savanna Greenup, a 2016 Pahrump Valley High School graduate, was crowned the Miss Pahrump Pageant winner last year.
