The Sanders Family Winery is holding a variety show on Friday, June 26 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Comedian, impressionist, and jazz singer Kellie Wright; Rusty Davis as Wayne Newton; and jazz pianist Uli Geissendoerfer will be performing. The Pahrump Elks Lodge will host a donation spaghetti dinner with all the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project. This week’s Movies in the Park feature is “Dolphin Tale 2,” the 2014 family drama film focusing on Winter, the miracle amputee dolphin as a new crisis arises threatening Winter’s life once again. The event starts at around 6 p.m. at Ian Deutch Memorial Park on Honeysuckle Street. Admission is free and concession stands will be open.

The Pahrump Amateur Radio Repeater Association will be participating in a nationwide emergency communications exercise starting at 10 a.m. until early evening at the Calvada Eye. Radio amateurs will take to the field with emergency power sources and communication equipment to practice and demonstrate their capabilities during regional and local catastrophes.
