The Sanders Family Winery is holding a variety show on Friday, June 26 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Comedian, impressionist, and jazz singer Kellie Wright; Rusty Davis as Wayne Newton; and jazz pianist Uli Geissendoerfer will be performing. The Sanders Family Winery is located on the southern side of the valley at 3780 E. Kellogg Road. Tickets are $20 per person. To reserve your tickets please call 775-727-1776.



The Pahrump Elks Lodge will host a donation spaghetti dinner with all the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project. The dinner is open to the public and will be held at the Lodge, located at 2220 E. Basin Road, just past the DMV office, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information call 775-751-2796.



This week’s Movies in the Park feature is “Dolphin Tale 2,” the 2014 family drama film focusing on Winter, the miracle amputee dolphin as a new crisis arises threatening Winter’s life once again. The event starts at around 6 p.m. at Ian Deutch Memorial Park on Honeysuckle Street. Admission is free and concession stands will be open.



The Pahrump Amateur Radio Repeater Association will be participating in a nationwide emergency communications exercise starting at 10 a.m. until early evening at the Calvada Eye. Radio amateurs will take to the field with emergency power sources and communication equipment to practice and demonstrate their capabilities during regional and local catastrophes. The public is encouraged to stop by and see what amateur radio can do in times of emergency. For more information call field day chairman Jon Schumacher at 727-7965.



VFW 10054 would like you to join them for breakfast every Sunday morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. VFW is an organization for Veterans of Foreign Wars. The Pahrump VFW is located at 4651 Homestead Road.



The Grove Wellness Center, a medical marijuana dispensary that will be opening in Pahrump, will hold an information seminar at the Pahrump Senior Center at 10:30 a.m. Get all your questions concerning medical marijuana answered, including how it has been used successfully for many ailments and how to get a patient card.



On the last Tuesday of every month a Social Security representative from Las Vegas comes to the Bob Ruud Community Center to handle all of your social security needs. Times are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The center is on the northwest corner of East Basin and Highway 160.



VFW 10054 has karaoke every Wednesday and Saturday night from 5 p.m. to whenever. VFW is an organization for Veterans of Foreign Wars. The post is at 4651 Homestead Road, Pahrump, Nevada 89061.



NyE Communities Coalition is offering a job readiness workshop every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The workshop will introduce the programs and services available through the coalition’s Adult Workforce Program. Information on other programs and services relating to health, wellness and prevention is also available. The workshop will be at 1020 E. Wilson Road.



Desert Squares Square Dance Group is meeting from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. at the Pahrump Valley Untied Methodist Church, 1300 E. Highway 372. Everyone is welcome and no experience necessary. For more information contact Lucille Piper at 775-727-1858.
