Twilight Productions to host variety show on Sunday

The owners of Twilight Productions will present their first variety show on Sunday.

Don and Teri Rogers co-founded the production company earlier this year.

The venue is the Desert Greens Clubhouse at 350 West Wilson Road.

Don Rogers said though the tickets are just $10, the laughter is totally free.

“It’s a variety show and we’ll have singers, dancers, some comedy and musicians,” he said. “We already have the talent lined up for this show. I think it would be wise for those who want to participate, to come down and check out the show to see what we are all about.”

Rogers said upward of 17 acts are lined up to perform, most of which are local residents.

“These particular people we knew about already, because there’s some real good talent that we have here in town,” he said. “There’s a couple that we hadn’t heard of before but we heard their CDs and we were impressed.”

Along with the show will be opportunities for attendees to win prizes, including gift baskets and a 50/50 drawing.

“Anybody who wants to come can bring their own snacks and soft drinks for this talent show,” he said. “We will open the doors around 12:30 p.m., and I would say the entire production will take an hour and a half to two hours.”

Rogers also said his production company is sending a contestant to the Ms. Senior Nevada State Pageant later this year.

“We are sponsoring a local lady for that,” he said. “She is doing a comedy skit for the talent show but at the state pageant, I believe she is doing a dance routine. We are always interested in any other talent that’s around. All they have to do is contact us if they want to be part of Twilight Productions.”
