Odegard and Ancell receive honors in Las Vegas

Two Pahrump high school athletes, Trojans golfer Austen Ancell and cross-country runner Bryce Odegard, were honored at the Best of Nevada Preps sports banquet at the Red Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on June 4.

The first annual banquet recognized Nevada’s high school athletes and their performances throughout the 2015-2016 school year. Ancell and Odegard both received second team all-state honors at the awards ceremony.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, there were over 800 athletes in attendance, in 24 sports, across 112 schools.
