Beatty: Melynda Gross, a former state champion for Beatty High School is asking for help for her brother, who was in a tragic car accident that took his wife and left him in the hospital. The accident was in July.

Gross said, “My brother is currently at the UMC hospital and has been there for almost four months. He has had ups and very low downs to where his heart stopped three times. We are trying to raise money for my brother to prepare him for medical expenses, rehabilitation, and his daughters Mia and Charlie.” If you would like to donate to a good cause here is the link.

Bowling news: Bowling in the Christmas Club League is on Monday morning. Nocky Roach on Sept. 25 shot his 34th 300 game, bowling with the Thursday Night Mixed, with a 756 series. On Oct. 27, bowling in the Christmas Club League he bowled his 35th 300 game with a 768 series.

Buy a student athletic pass at PVHS: for $35 and get entrance to all games for the entire year. Adults can save too with a $70 pass for adults, $100 for a couple, seniors are $50 and a family of four is $225. Booster cards are back for $10 and you get 10% off on participating businesses.

Football: Pahrump Valley stops late 2-point try to clinch 1st win

Kuver wins division, side pots during PVTBC tournament at Pahrump Nugget

Walt Kuver rolled games of 277, 237 and 278 with a 91 handicap, totaling 883 to win Division A and be the day’s top money winner at the Pahrump Valley Tournament Bowling Club’s No-Tap Singles Tournament sponsored by Jan Mock on March 27 at the Pahrump Nugget Bowling Center.
