Just for your info: Death Valley National Park will get a new superintendent. Former Superintendent Kathy Billings retired at the end of December. It is unknown if her recent safety stand down had anything to do with her departure.

Cheryl Chipman, a Death Valley spokeswoman, said, “We will have an acting superintendent until sometime in May who is arriving in the park week after next. Hopefully by May a permanent superintendent will be selected.”
