Happy 95th Birthday Bud Miller!

It was a heck of a birthday party on Tuesday morning as Bud Miller celebrated his 95th birthday at Lakeview Executive Golf Course. The golfer, known affectionately as “Two Beers” still can drive the ball 200 yards, despite the years.

To celebrate his birthday, he threw a scramble tournament to thank all his friends who had helped him golf over the years.

“I really don’t want this in the paper, because I have to pay for this tournament,” he said. “But I am putting this on for all the guys that have helped me over the years watch my ball. I am going blind and don’t track the ball that well. As I got older it got harder to find my ball. I can’t play without them.”

Miller has played the game for almost a half century. “I learned how to play when I was working, but really didn’t start to really play until I retired at 62,” he said. “I worked for a conveyer company for 24 years.”

He said he loves the game of golf because of the people he meets.

“I meet the best people in the world on the golf course,” Miller explained.
