A fond farewell to a great coach; thanks for the memories

I will make this short and sweet. I want to wish Trojans girls varsity soccer coach Pam Larmouth the best, as she has had to resign to attend to family matters. The new coach will be Sarah Kent.

Pam has been a great coach over the years and like a mother to many of the great soccer players that we have seen come through the school in the past five to six years.

She started off as an assistant in 2010 and then took over with Joe Sladek in 2011 and helped guide the team to its first state championship in 2011, when the girls were playing in the 4-A. The team then repeated in 2012 in their first year in Division I-A and was runner-up in 2013.

Since I started talking to her in 2012 she has always known the right words to say. She had a knack for saying the right thing at the right time. Pam worked hard and gave it her all for the girls and I know the parents wish her well and appreciate her years of dedication to their kids.

It's hard to find dedicated coaches like Pam that are willing to spend hours and hours shaping and molding kids that were not even her own. It just takes a special kind of person to do that. Pam's last daughter graduated from PVHS in 2011.

I want to take this time to thank Pam for her years of service and dedication to the team and we wish her the best from the PVT sports and hope all works out with her family. Thanks again, Pam for all the great soccer you helped bring to this town and I am saddened to see you go. We will all truly miss you.
