Two exciting days of racing at the speedway

Gentlemen, start your engines. It’s time for the Pahrump Valley Speedway Fall Festival races, which brings you two days of racing fun, starting on Friday at 7 p.m. and then on Saturday at 7 p.m.

All the classes will be competing.

Jeri Patrick, a coupe driver nicknamed “Grandma,” said she will be racing both days.

“It’s a challenge because racing two nights you have to keep the car going and there usually are more cars,” she said.

Brett Gamble, a Super Stock racer, loves Fall Festival racing for the same reason.

“I like Saturday, the second night because there’s usually a good turnout of people in the stands,” Gamble said. “Also the racing is better, because of more cars.”

An additional incentive for people to flock to the track is the Dwarf cars should be out in force because the Southern Nevada Dwarf Association (SNDCA) is putting on a two-day show and higher payouts.

“That should be a great show,” Gamble said.

Tickets are $10; for seniors 55+, $8; children 6-14 years, $6; children 5 and under are FREE; family six-pack, $30 (for two adults and four kids under age 14); season pass, $180.
