Revised kennel regulations up for county vote
TONOPAH — A bill amending the Nye County Code on animal control, allowing people with a lot of animals to have a pet fancier’s permit instead of requiring a commercial kennel permit, will be on the agenda when commissioners meet here at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The meeting can be viewed by video conference from the commissioners’ chambers at 2100 Walt Williams Dr. on the Calvada Eye.
In other business, commissioners will consider a request by Fred and Nancy Cline, owners of the Mizpah Hotel, dba Tonopah Brewing Company, for a Nevada Department of Taxation application for a manufacturer’s license. A retail liquor license and gaming license will also be considered for a third Dotty’s location, at the old Benderz Bar at 3610 S. Highway 160.
A member will be appointed to the Amargosa Valley Town Board due to the resignation of John McNeely whose term expires in January 2015.
A proposal for the Tonopah Conservation Camp to supply meals to the Tonopah jail is on the agenda.
Commissioners will consider a tentative subdivision map to divide 8.44 gross acres into 19 parcels for the Hidden Gem Subdivision, at Lambertucci’s Roma Nevada LLC in Tonopah, along with eight waivers involving building setbacks, road widths and radius turn-around requirements for dead end streets.
