It was a busy and bustling day for many in the Pahrump community during the 3rd Annual Veterans Extravaganza, an event geared toward providing an all-encompassing information outlet for former U.S. military service members.

It was a long time coming but Pahrump Valley Public Transportation is now well established and rolling, with organization officials and members of the public celebrating the anniversary of the first year of full operations on Saturday, March 2.
The weather may have been gloomy on Saturday, March 2 but the atmosphere inside the NyE Communities Coalition Activities Center was anything but as valley residents enjoyed an evening of fundraising festivities at the 8th Annual CASA Crab Fest.

Pahrump Senior Center
P3 Medical Group expanded over the hump to Pahrump in October of last year, bringing to the valley a whole new option for medical care for area residents. The inclusion of this area in the P3 network also brought with it another new health care option for valley seniors, with Senior Care Plus now offering its Medicare Advantage plans to Pahrump as well.
“I’ve always felt that Beatty has never lived up to its potential,” businessman Ed Ringle told the Beatty Town Advisory Board Feb. 25. He then shared his vision of what he believes the town could be and what he plans to do to make it happen.

The Committee for Veterans Issues is readying to host its 3rd Annual Veterans Extravaganza and the group is putting out the call to all former U.S. service members, inviting them for an event packed with veteran-specific information.
Though food and housing are essential for families and individuals everywhere, officials with the Amargosa Valley Senior Center are stressing the urgent need of housing food for residents of limited resources.
The 2019 Pahrump Balloon Festival floated back into town last weekend, with dozens of hot air balloons, a carnival, rodeo, car show and vendors all packing into Petrack Park to bring three days of festive fun to the valley Feb. 22 through Feb. 24.
