• Pahrump Taco Fest

The 2nd Annual Taco Fest is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Calvada Eye, 2100 E. Walt Williams Drive. Details available at “Pahrump Taco Fest” on Facebook.

• Rod Stewart Tribute

Saturday night, Rod Stewart tribute starring John Anthony, Sanders Family Winery, 3780 E. Kellogg Road, tickets $25 per person, gates open at 6 p.m., showtime at dusk, call 727-1776 to reserve your tickets or for information.

• Open Mic

Sportsman’s Quest: The Story Teller

The time of hunting and fishing conventions has come to an end and the hunting guides-outfitters have returned home to prepare for another season. I’m left with my head full of new stories and my sides still aching from laughing at the crazy tales and humorous, if sometimes dangerous, adventures we’ve shared at vendor booths, in the hallways, hotel rooms and yes, while sipping a beverage in the local “watering holes.”
