BUSINESS: Owner Children’s Dentistry of Pahrump
AGE: 33
BACKGROUND: “I opened a dental practice in Las Vegas in 2009 to provide service for children and those with special needs who were fearful. There was a need for specialized dentistry there, and the need has grown. I opened an office here in 2011.
“I went to the University of San Diego as an undergraduate and the University of Washington dentistry school. I went to Loma Linda University to get my certification in anesthesia.”
FIRST JOB: “I had two paper routes in northern Washington.”
YEARS IN BUSINESS: “I have lived in Las Vegas for five years but do get involved in the Pahrump community. We’re members of the Chamber of Commerce and donate to fall festival events, Pahrump Disability Outreach Program and sponsor youth soccer and local charity organizations.”
PERSONAL: “I love spending time outdoors. I’m married and my wife and I have two Siberian huskies. We enjoy taking them on hikes and we spend time fly fishing in Alaska.”
“I’m an amateur boxer. When I was in undergraduate school, I won the Golden Glove Tough Man competition in Washington.”
BUSINESS CLIMATE: “This is a community with a free spirit. There are a lot of opportunities for business here and a lot of land. The growth potential is enormous when it comes to businesses and expansion. All businesses benefit from networking and cross-marketing their services.”
