IN PROFILE: Michael Taylor

BUSINESS: Owner Affiliated Chiropractic

AGE: 51

BACKGROUND: “I’ve been a chiropractor for 20 years, and graduated in 1992. I don’t really have business management experience. I just worked at pretty much everything to get through school.”

FIRST JOB: “When I was 8, I raised dairy – fed cows, fed calves and shoveled a lot of manure. They paid me $15 a month.”

YEARS IN BUSINESS: “I have lived in Pahrump since 2006 and worked here for just as long. I’m a member of Kiwanis and the Chamber of Commerce.

“I am involved in school athletics and am a trainer for the PVHS football team. We’re hosting an open house here on Halloween with a haunted house, trunk or treat and pumpkin painting as something different in connecting with the community. We also support local charities.”

PERSONAL: “I would walk away from my businesses if I could coach basketball and not starve.”

BUSINESS CLIMATE: “I love this community. It built my business and the community supports us.”
