Background: “I worked with the federal government with homeland security for 11 years and I am also in the California National Guard, and that check goes to paying for the market. My wife works for the state of Nevada. My experience with an Asian Market is eating Filipino food. The guy that owned this store said there was a sizeable Asian population in town and so I stepped in to keep this store from closing. More people need to come out to keep us open. We have been open since April 14.”
Personal: “I like to spend time with my wife doing things around the house.”
First job: “I worked at an onion processing plant.”
Business Climate: “We are the only Asian Market in the town. I think we just need more time for people to realize that. I am hoping the fact that we accept EBT now that more people will come.”
