The Pahranagat Valley Panthers made history as they quietly won their 100th consecutive game on Friday due to a forfeit against Indian Springs, becoming only the third team to do so.
They join an elite club of football teams that have won over 100 games, De Lasalle (Concord, California) with 151 and Independence (Charlotte, North Carolina) with 109.
Pahranagat Valley (8-0 overall, 6-0 Class 1A Southern) will host Beatty (7-1, 3-1) this Thursday at 7 p.m. in hopes of getting 101. Beatty will have its hands full as the Panthers are averaging 47.6 points per game and allowing just 5.6.
The Hornets, on the other hand, are confident that they will bring their best game. The team is coming off a 60-20 win over Tonopah. They are averaging 42.5 points per game while allowing just 5.75.
