Sandoval signed by Ottawa University

Ottawa University in Kansas signed Antonio Sandoval to a two-and-a-half year wrestling scholarship.

Sandoval will be visiting the school unseen but said they made him a good offer.

“The scholarship was just too hard to turn down,” he said. “I signed yesterday and will be doing another signing in front of the whole family.”

The school is a small private liberal arts school of less than 3,000 students near Lawrence, Kansas.

The school is a NAIA Division I school.

Sandoval wrestled in the 132-pound division as a senior for the Trojans. He was a four-year letterman and made it to regionals three years in a row, where he took fifth place. He will be wrestling at 142 in college.

He plans on majoring in engineering or physical education and is the son of Celeste and Domonique Sandoval.
