Trojans baseball, since the one defeat to Faith Lutheran, keeps piling on the victories. On Wednesday afternoon they took it to Cheyenne and beat them 8-1 on the road.

A local woman was killed early Sunday morning after she was reportedly ejected from her SUV when it rolled over on State Route 160 near Johnnie.

Ex-cop sentenced over naked desert romp

A former Nye County Sheriff’s deputy who was arrested last year for absconding from parole and fabricating a story about being abducted after he was found wandering naked in the desert area of Wheeler Pass Road was sentenced to six months in jail followed by probation last week.

Action on parcel map changes deferred

Nye County commissioners on Tuesday modified changes that were originally supposed to speed up approval of development projects.
