While I don’t yet have a full list of those who have joined this elite group, it is growing steadily, and in states where there is no prohibition, local governments are also enacting ordinances. In Congress, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has introduced legislation to put an end to the practice nationally.

Doubts over Common Core

WASHINGTON — Viewed from Washington, which often is the last to learn about important developments, opposition to the Common Core State Standards Initiative still seems as small as the biblical cloud that ariseth out of the sea, no larger than a man’s hand. Soon, however, this education policy will fill a significant portion of the political sky.

Follow the money: How much actually goes to charity?

Somehow over the last few generations, our society has morphed in much the same way the video world’s animated creatures go from nice, law-abiding, every-day-looking citizens … to something else — an antithesis of the goodness within.
