Lady Trojans volleyball falls in five sets ending season

The road to state ended for one Nye County team. The Lady Trojans, the Sunset League champions and no. 1 seed, fell to second-seed Boulder City of the Sunrise League in five sets, 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 23-25 and 15-11 at the 3A Southern Region playoffs in Boulder City.

I rarely get riled up over sports. OK, I lied, but that happens mostly with NFL football and college football. For high school, I think I control myself well (My wife is snickering somewhere).

Trojans golfers, junior Austen Ancell and senior Derek Moore, delivered a one-two punch against Boulder City at Mountain Falls Golf Course (par 72) on Monday for the win. Ancell carded a 3-over-par 75 and Moore carded a 77 to lead Pahrump.
