Softball is back and the Trojans are ready to play. The girls played in an exhibition game against VFW post 10054 on Sunday.

Brandon Schneider, or more commonly known as “Brandon the Brute” in the amateur MMA circles, will be fighting on March 14 in Mesquite.

The Rosemary Clarke Middle School girls basketball team finished up their season with their last tournament over the weekend called the “Whitney Mesa Shootout”, where the “A” team finished second in the consolation round.

The Trojans wrestling team finished the season undefeated in league and Sunset League Champions for the third consecutive time. Pahrump finished up their last match of the season by defeating Clark with 10 pins at home on Friday night to win 64-14. During the night, Clark won only three individual matches and had two pins and one match by decision.

The Lady Trojans lost a close one on Thursday against Sierra Vista in the final seconds of the game 39-37.

What a game. It was truly one of the best Super Bowls that I have ever seen. I had no doubt that the Seahawks would win in the end. Oh well, what do I know?

Julie Floyd retires after 30 years teaching in the Nye County School district and will also step down as the head of the Trojans girls golf team. Her last teaching post was with Floyd Elementary school where she taught physical education.
