The time of hunting and fishing conventions has come to an end and the hunting guides-outfitters have returned home to prepare for another season. I’m left with my head full of new stories and my sides still aching from laughing at the crazy tales and humorous, if sometimes dangerous, adventures we’ve shared at vendor booths, in the hallways, hotel rooms and yes, while sipping a beverage in the local “watering holes.”

Horseshoe pitchers had a busy start to April, with sanctioned tournaments on back-to-back Saturdays, a doubles tournament sponsored by the Southern Nevada Horseshoe Pitching Association and the first tournament in the new Spring and Fall Fling series in which bars around Southern Nevada host tournaments.
After a year of no in-person meets because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Arianna Plant of Pahrump didn’t need much time to get back into a groove.

The Lakeview 2018 Men’s Club Championship was held on Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 at the Lakeview Executive Golf Course.

They are as close as Arizona and as far as Illinois. Some already have seen some success, while others wait for their opportunities.
