According to Hornets Coach Aimee Senior, Beatty (5-2 overall, 3-2 Division IV Southern) came back from a 12-point deficit in the second half for the win. In the first half, the Diamondbacks (4-3, 2-3) put on a full-court press which gave them a 12-point lead.

A local 10 month-old child is dead from complications of strep throat. Nye County Sheriff’s deputies said the child died last Tuesday.
