Boys soccer gets first league win

The Trojans boys soccer took Sierra Vista to the wire and secured the team’s first league win, 4-3, at home Tuesday. This victory snapped a five-game losing streak for Pahrump (4-7-1 overall, 1-5-0 Sunset League).

Injuries taking a toll on PVHS girls soccer team

Things have gone from bad to worse for the Lady Trojans soccer as two more players went down with injuries Tuesday at Sierra Vista.

Pahranagat Valley squashes the Hornets 54-0

The Beatty Hornets football team went down hard against the Pahranagat Valley Panthers last week 54-0 with injuries playing a major role in the defeat. The Pahranagat Valley Panthers played with precision and increased their winning streak to 73 games.

Pahrump seniors to attend senior Olympic games in St. George

A group of Pahrump senior citizen athletes will be travelling to St. George, Utah to participate in the Huntsman World Senior Games, an annual event that attracts more than 10,000 participants.

PVHS mens cross country team close to making state

The Trojans Cross Country team has been improving with every meet. For the first time since entering the Division I-A the mens team has five to six runners who regularly finish under 21 minutes.

In Southern Nevada it’s never too hot to play

As we say goodbye to the hot temperatures and welcome the cool fall, it is amusing to see how other cities deal with above average temperatures. Two weeks ago temperatures soared to 100 degrees in Southern Nevada and in other Southwest cities like Los Angeles. Life went on in Southern Nevada, but in Los Angeles it was too hot to play sports. So do the Los Angelenos really know what heat is all about?

Trojans out-rush Clark but come up short in points

The Trojans posted 359 yards total offense to the 304 yards of the Chargers and still came up short. The Clark Chargers beat the Trojans through the air last Saturday 34-17.
