Last Friday night the game was all about defense as the Trojans (3-4 overall, 2-3 Sunset League) lost to the Grizzlies (5-2, 4-1) in a low scoring conference battle 13-7. With the victory, Spring Valley now sits alone at the top in the Sunset League. Pahrump is in seventh place just behind Mojave.
The Trojans boys soccer team (4-9-2 overall, 1-7-1 Sunset League) went head to head with the third place Rattlers ( 7-2-2, 7-2-1) last Friday and came up short by one point, 2-1.
The Trojans (3-3 overall, 2-2 Sunset League) travel to face Spring Valley (4-2 , 3-1 ) on Friday at 7 p.m. Spring Valley has one of the strongest defenses in the league. In the past six games, the Grizzlies have given up 43 points for an average of 7.1 points per game.
The Pahrump Valley girls soccer team knew they were going to have to play their best game against Faith Lutheran last Tuesday and they did. The game was played on the Crusaders home turf and Faith played as expected — hard and tough. According to Trojans Coach Pam Larmouth, the team played their best soccer up to this year despite coming up short, 2-1.
