The win also secured the No. 3 seed in the Sunset League for Pahrump, which will travel to Moapa Valley (6-3, 3-1) on Thursday in the first round of Class 3A playoffs.

Lady Hornets volleyball looking for big win today in Tonopah

Beatty volleyball had no problems beating Round Mountain in three sets for homecoming last week, 25-23, 25-11 and 25-10. They also came down to Pahrump and beat the junior varsity team in three sets on Tuesday, 25-18, 25-13 and 25-23.

Two Pahrump Valley High athletes honored for Wendy’s Heisman

Tristyn Wombaker and Katelyn Long were selected as Wendy’s High School Heisman Award winners for 2016. Wombaker is a senior who has been a standout performer in soccer and basketball at Pahrump Valley High School. Long is from Oklahoma and arrived in Pahrump last year. She is a senior standout in softball.

Beatty vs Tonopah: Two strong teams meet up tonight

Beatty had a tune-up for their big game at Tonopah tonight as they flattened Round Mountain at homecoming last Friday, 58-0.
