If you want to see great art, you go to the Louvre in Paris, but if you want to see great soccer, Pahrump is the town for you. The Lady Trojans posted their sixth win of the season beating the Mojave Rattlers 12-0 and improved to 6-0-1 on the year and 3-0 in league.

The Lady Trojans played three straight days of volleyball in a row.

Lady Muckers drop Sandy Valley in four sets

The Sandy Valley Sidewinders aren’t the roll-over team from last year and gave the Muckers a run for their money. The Sidewinders volleyball team visited Tonopah last week on Friday and were 2-0 going into the meet with some major improvements offensively since last year. They easily beat Beaver Dam 3-0 and then beat Adelson school, 3-0, too.

Epic comeback with Misener’s last minute touchdown

The Tonopah Muckers won their first league game beating the Sandy Valley Sidewinders 26-22 at home on Friday. Matt Misener had a late touchdown, and scored on a 14-yard run with 15 seconds left before the end of the game.

The Beatty Hornets lose big against Panthers

The Beatty Hornets faced the always powerful Pahranagat Valley Panthers at home and lost 58-14.

Trojans rushing game stopped cold by Moapa

This year, the Pahrump Valley Trojans no doubt have the best team in years, but are still 1-3. They lost their third game in a row to probably the best team in the Division 1-A, the Moapa Valley Pirates. Going into Friday’s game the Pirates were undefeated and remain so, taking the Trojans 41-0.

The goals they just keep on coming

The Trojans boys soccer team has changed more than just the coach. They have a complete new system of playing and a whole new attitude, which has them already ahead of last year’s 3-10 record. The boys are now officially 4-1 on the year with a 3-0 league record.

Extra coaching in offseason pays off for Trojans athlete

Not all great athletes start when they are in grade school. Some get off to a slow start. Senior volleyball player and high jumper Mikayla Davis is one who had a late start to her athletic career. She started track in middle school and volleyball in her sophomore year in high school.
