Trojans sports teams are finishing off the week with tough competition as the girls soccer team and football team will face off with top three schools in their leagues.
With two minutes left on the clock, the Trojans girls soccer team was in the lead by one goal against one of the top two soccer teams in their league – seconds later that changed.
With 25 seconds left on the clock, Trojan Natalie Soto took the ball onto Mater Academy East Las Vegas’ side to take one of the longest shots in the game to seal the team’s fate.

Small schools in Nye County have a hard time raising money for the athletic department and Pahrump Valley High School is no different than any other school in Nye County, despite being the largest high school in the district. The PVT asked Trojans Athletic Director Ed Kirkwood about the difficulties of raising money for athletics in Pahrump and the direction the athletic department is headed.
Basketball camp: Still can join. Basketball camp at the high school runs June 22-25 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The camp is organized by Coach Gil Llewellyn and staff.
Pahrump Valley will get its first special needs cheer team this week.
The Beatty track team was at the Meadows Weekday in Las Vegas on Tuesday where they competed with Division III and Division IV schools. Eight schools competed on the boys side and seven on the girls side.
