They took the lead and edged ever so closely to victory when Shayla Dance made a clutch jumper to make it 34-30 at the 2:00 minute mark. It took Alyssa Murphy to then ice the game. She came to the line and sunk two free throws in a row to make the final score 36-30 with just 52 seconds left on the clock.

The Trojans wrestling team was at the Spring Valley Duals at Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas where they had to wrestle five teams in one day.

There was not much the Trojans Coach John Toomer could do as he watched his team slowly throw away an eight-point lead in the first quarter against the Del Sol Dragons last Thursday night. This was after the Trojans made several baskets in a row to go ahead 10-2 with just 3:51 seconds in the first.
Sports is slowing down for the winter break so all of you Trojans, Tonopah and Beatty fans will have to put up with my opinion this week before Christmas.
The outpouring of love continues to grow each day for Muckers Coach Javier Gonzalez. Gonzalez coached at the junior varsity level in volleyball for the Muckers for 10 years. This year was his first time coaching at the varsity level and he took the varsity team to the state tournament.
Muckers Coach Duffy Otteson knew some minor changes had to be made. He also knew his team would learn from their mistakes and move on after the first match only a week ago.
The Trojans men’s basketball team traveled up to Hawthorne for a Central Nevada tournament where they played five games in span of three days. The team won two games and lost three. Trojans Coach John Toomer is slowly rebuilding the team and working on the team’s confidence.
The Pahrump Valley Junior Trojans Wrestling team was at the Rattler Roundup on Dec. 14 at Mojave High School and took third place overall. The competition was stiff with close to 445 wrestlers there.
