One of Pahrump’s longest-running rural traditions is set to return this February as the annual Pahrump Jr.High–High School Rodeo brings three days of competition to the McCullough Rodeo Arena from Feb. 6–8.

He recently made a hole-in-one, but there is more

On Sept. 8 at age 77, Jim Fahey hit his first hole-in-one — ever at Lakeview Executive course, which brought him to the Pahrump Valley Times. Normally a hole-in-one does not justify a whole article, but something was different about Fahey. Perhaps it was his age, or the fact he reminds people of their dad. Whatever the reason the story came out and it started off with an incredible hole-in-one ball.

Trojans overpower Western with run

Trojans dominated and destroyed the Western Warriors 60-0 last Friday to improve to 2-2 in league play and 3-5 overall. Both Cheyenne and Pahrump have a 2-2 record going into this week’s game, and the Trojans could take possession of third if Cheyenne loses to Clark and the Trojans beat Mohave this Thursday at 7 p.m.

Trojans score at will and smash Desert Shields in easy win

The Lady Trojans soccer team scored five goals in the first half and three in the second half to send the Cheyenne Desert Shields packing last Thursday at home.

Tonopah keeps on winning

The Tonopah Muckers easily dispatched Adelson on Friday and Word of Life on Saturday in league action 3-0, and 3-0. Tonopah improves to 6-0 in league play and 10-1 overall. The team faces Indian Springs this week an then Pahranagat Valley at home the following week.
