Openness has its downsides

Man admits breaking into NCSO storage

One man was taken into custody on Nov. 18 after he allegedly admitted to stealing several thousand dollars worth of evidence from a storage unit the Nye County Sheriff’s Office had rented from a private vendor more than a year ago, after he was confronted by police about breaking into a friend’s storage unit on Leslie Street last month.

Calvada sidewalks on RTC wish list

Speedway runs last race of the season

Football running back faces life and wins

Senior Matt Misener is a running back for the Tonopah Muckers. Misener’s running game has been responsible for breaking a few games wide open. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. He is quick and lethal, but most importantly he has heart.

Tonopah routs Round Mountain

The Tonopah Muckers football team won Friday’s away conference game against Round Mountain by a score of 58-26. With this win, Tonopah improves to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in league. The offense is averaging 345.6 yards rushing per game, 117 yards passing per game and has a total of 26 TDs.

Lady Trojans win last 2 of 3 games

The Lady Trojans went 2-1 in their last three outings. They beat Mojave last Thursday 3-0, lost to Clark on Monday 3-1 and beat Western on Wednesday 3-1.

Beatty runs over Beaver Dam

Beatty Hornets football team soundly beat Beaver Dam last Friday night 43-36. Hornets Coach Leo Verzilli said his team had a great game.
