The Pahrump Valley High School Trojans boys soccer team finished up their regular season at Sunrise Mountain (15-1 overall, 11-1 Sunset League) on Wednesday, losing 11-0.

Jason Voss won the VT Construction Tonopah 250 by a minute on Oct. 21.

The Trojans boys and girls cross-country are preparing for regionals.

The Beatty High School volleyball team has won its last two matches, starting with a sweep of Round Mountain, 25-12, 25-14, 25-11 for homecoming week and ending with a win against fourth-place Liberty Baptist, 25-20, 25-10, 25-20.

The Trojans girls soccer team fought Sunrise Mountain on Wednesday for the Sunset League title and tied the game, 0-0.

In an effort to get the message out that “character does count,” the Pahrump Valley High School athletic department sent 35 athletes out to Hafen Elementary School on Oct. 19.

The Pahrump Valley Trojans beat Western with ease with over 200 yards rushing on the ground and 66 yards passing through the air, 40-6.

The Trojans dominated Cheyenne on the court, beating them in three sets to take the Sunset League and the number one seed for the playoffs which start next week on Oct. 31 in Pahrump against the Sunrise League fourth-seed team.

The Trojans top two golfers, freshman Breanne Nygaard and junior Makalea Petrie held their own at state and helped the Trojans achieve third place at the two-day Class 3A Nevada State Golf Championship at Mountain Falls Golf Course.

The Trojans seek to rebound from their loss at Sunrise Mountain last week when they host the Western Warriors in more league action at 7 p.m. today.
