Trojans defense too tough

There was absolutely no doubt the Lady Trojans were not going to let this game get away from them. The Trojans were not about to drop a second game and they let the Warriors know that right away. Pahrump triumphed over the Western Warriors last Tuesday 6-0. The Trojans improve to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Hornets go down to the wire with Lund

The Lady Hornets have shown in the past that they are a spunky and scrappy team. If there was a street version of high school volleyball, they would be the Division IV champions for sure.

GAME DAY: Trojans vs. Warriors for PVHS homecoming game

This week is homecoming for the Trojans as they face the Western Warriors at home and hope to improve to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.

Local mosh ball tourney to benefit Super Mikey

The Pahrump Valley Adult Softball Association is having a Coed Mosh Ball Adult Softball Tournament for “Super Mikey,” who goes by Mike Welch.

Hornets play first game on temporary field

Ask anyone in Beatty if they thought its team would be that close to beating Spring Mountain last week, and they would have probably chuckled. Beatty faced the Spring Mountain Eagles last Friday and lost a tough defensive game, 16-0. The game came down to turnovers.

Girls Golf Girls finish third; young talent looking promising

The Lady Trojans had their first home league match of the season last Thursday at Mountain Falls. The team finished third out of four teams.

Both Trojans soccer teams take a loss

The Trojans fell to 0-3 after losing to the Clark Chargers on Friday afternoon, 3-2. Clark was one of the conference leaders last year and came to Pahrump positive they would win.

Cross Country teams running hard against top talent

The cross country team had two meets last week. On Wednesday they had a Sunset League meet at Village Green in Las Vegas and then went to a power-packed invitational at Red Rock. The boys and girls both finished in third at the league match. For the boys, Clark was first with Faith Lutheran in second. Chase Wood had the fastest time for the boys, finishing 17:45 and Filmon Fre for Clark finished second with a time of 17:46.
