Trojans sports teams are finishing off the week with tough competition as the girls soccer team and football team will face off with top three schools in their leagues.
With two minutes left on the clock, the Trojans girls soccer team was in the lead by one goal against one of the top two soccer teams in their league – seconds later that changed.

No one was surprised when Chris Brockman, Pahrump Valley High School principal appointed Jason Odegard to the position of athletic administrator. Odegard is a new assistant principal at the high school.
The Trojans are ready for the first game of the season on Friday night at 7 p.m. after a strong scrimmage with the Durango Trailblazers last Saturday.
The Trojans will have a new junior varsity boys soccer coach for this year, Wes Icard. Icard played for Pahrump Valley Trojans and graduated in 2005. He played for Chris Johnson, who coached at Pahrump from 2004 until 2008.

Pahrump could end up on top of the Sunset League this year. I am going to go out on the limb and say that the Trojans finish near the top — either first or second in the Sunset League, Division I-A.
The Trojans girls soccer team are coming off a great season. Last year was almost perfect, if not for the one loss in the state final to South Tahoe. However, they did beat their rival, the Faith Lutheran Crusaders, three times and anytime you do that it’s a good season for the Trojans.
