Commissioner Butch Borasky Tuesday withdrew a bill to reduce the size of the Pahrump Planning District 38 percent in the north and northwest areas of Pahrump Valley, a proposal planners said could cost the county as much as $100,000.

Rapist on the run wrecks bike, goes to jail

A wanted man listed as a “predatory sex offender” by the Oregon division of parole and probation was arrested in Pahrump Sunday for allegedly failing to register as a sex offender with local police after he crashed his motorcycle on Mountain Falls Boulevard.
