Trojans sports teams are finishing off the week with tough competition as the girls soccer team and football team will face off with top three schools in their leagues.
With two minutes left on the clock, the Trojans girls soccer team was in the lead by one goal against one of the top two soccer teams in their league – seconds later that changed.
With 25 seconds left on the clock, Trojan Natalie Soto took the ball onto Mater Academy East Las Vegas’ side to take one of the longest shots in the game to seal the team’s fate.
This is a big week for the Trojans soccer teams as both teams are playing at least two league games this week.
The Trojans boys soccer team hosted Spring Valley on Wednesday. Pahrump (5-12-2 overall, 2-10-1 Sunset League) held the Grizzlies (10-5, 10-4) scoreless in the second half but could not keep them out of the goal in the second half and lost 3-0.

For Pahrump, the last three games will be key matches. Although the Trojans (12-15 overall, 5-5 Sunset League) dominated this opponent, Western (1-13, 0-10) is at the bottom.

Luck just made the Warriors that much harder to beat last Thursday. The Trojans hosted Western, one of the league division leaders, and lost 5-1 at home.

Summer is gone but that doesn’t mean summer sports are. During the fall in Southern Nevada, now that the heat of the summer has subsided seniors are getting in shape for the Nevada Senior Games.
