The Lady Trojans soccer team scored five goals in the first half and three in the second half to send the Cheyenne Desert Shields packing last Thursday at home.
The Tonopah Muckers easily dispatched Adelson on Friday and Word of Life on Saturday in league action 3-0, and 3-0. Tonopah improves to 6-0 in league play and 10-1 overall. The team faces Indian Springs this week an then Pahranagat Valley at home the following week.
The Beatty Hornets were in action twice last week and came out of the two games with one win and one loss.
Pahrump resident Marvin Caperton made the trip to the Huntsman Senior Games in St. George, Utah last week and brought home two medals, gold in the 50-meter dash and silver in the 100-meter dash.
Beatty lost to Indian Springs 31-20 and may have dashed their hopes of a playoff birth. In order for Beatty to make the playoffs, the team will have to play with a lot of heart against Spring Mountain on Nov. 1.
Trojans football is headed to play the Western Warriors today at 7 p.m. The Warriors have not won a game this year.
Three Trojans on the womens golf team made it to regionals, which was held this year at Boulder Creek Golf Course on Thursday. The results of the Tournament will be posted on Wednesday.
The Lady Hornets slugged it out with the Muckers last Friday and it was all-out trench warfare with Hornets coming out on the losing end.
The Lady Trojans soccer team’s defensive line lets few balls pass. So few, that goalkeeper Kiaya Nauck is close to breaking the state record for most shutouts in a career.
The Trojans are near the end of the cross country season and have one meet to go before regionals.
