A car wash at Java Junkies raised $300 for the Light and the Dark Pumpkin Fest on Oct. 29, which will be held at Ian Deutch Memorial Park. Organizer of the festival, Mike Maye, said fundraising for the event will defer the cost of putting it on. Maye has teamed up with New Hope, a local church, and other local businesses to raise funds for the installation of a lighting package at our local skate park. The park is located in Ian Deutch Park.
